Sentricon* Termite Colony Elimination System

The Sentricon* System is so successful because termites walk right into it. Worker termites constantly forage far and wide, looking for wood to feed the colony. When they find food like the monitoring device in a Sentricon station they leave special scent trails to summon their nest mates to the food source.

Once the Bait tube* device containing Recruit* termite bait is placed in a station, the termites natural behavior assists in spreading the termite bait throughout the colony. The bait contains a substance, hexaflumeron, that prevents the termites from growing by interfering with the molting process. As a result, the colony will be eliminated.

Your pest control professional follows these steps:
1. First, your home will be inspected for signs of termites. 2. Then, Sentricon stations will be placed in the soil in prime termite foraging areas around your home. 3. The stations will be checked regularly for termite activity.
4.When termites are found in one or more stations, they will be transferred to a Bait tube device, which is then placed in those stations. The Bait tube contains Recruit termite bait. 5. The captured termites will feed on Recruit, tunnel out and send their colony nest mates back to feed on the bait. After several weeks, the colony will start to decline and will eventually be eliminated. 6. After a colony has been eliminated, used Bait tube devices will be replaced with new monitoring devices. Your pest control professional will continue to inspect these for signs of a new colony that might try to invade your property.
The Sentricon System is easy on you and your home.
Sentricon requires no drilling in floors and foundations, less digging up of shrubs and other landscaping. Monitoring and baiting can be done without even entering your home.

It's a low impact approach.
The Sentricon System is low impact because the active ingredient in Recruit termite bait is highly selective. In other words, it's targeted at subterranean termites. Plus, Recruit is applied only in stations with active termites and is left in the stations only while it is needed.
